How to remove background noise
- Add the video and select the clip with the noisy sound.
- Open the AI tab. Under AI effects · selected clip → Voice, set Noise removal strength. 100% removes as much as possible; 60–80% keeps a little room sound so the voice doesn't feel "in a vacuum".
- Press 🧹 Remove background noise. VDOAPP makes a cleaned copy of the clip's sound. The picture is untouched, and your trims, speed and effects are kept.
- Listen, then export. If it's too much or too little, undo and try another strength.

Tip: clean the audio before generating captions or finding silences. Both work better when the gaps between words are truly quiet.
Frequently asked questions
Will it make my voice sound robotic?
At full strength, very noisy recordings can sound slightly thin. Lower the strength to 60–80% so a little of the original sound is blended back in.
Does it work on music videos?
It's designed for speech. It will treat music as noise and remove much of it, so it isn't suited to cleaning a song.
Can I clean up a voiceover I recorded in the editor?
The tool works on clips on the main timeline. For the best voiceovers, record somewhere soft and quiet, such as a room with curtains and a sofa, and keep the microphone close.
