New: edit by transcript, AI chapters, timecode and 40+ presets

Two new AI tools for talking videos, the playback controls and timecode editors expect, and a big batch of new templates, filters, caption styles, motion and export presets. Like everything in VDOAPP, it all runs on your own device.

Two new AI tools

  • Edit by transcript — the AI writes down every word your clips say, each with its exact time. Click words to mark them and cut them all from the video at once. It can mark retakes (a sentence you started again), stutters and filler words for you. Captions and every other layer follow the cuts.
  • AI chapters — finds where the topic changes, names each part from your own words and adds them as timeline markers, with a timestamp list ready for your YouTube description.

Playback controls and timecode

  • New buttons around ▶: go to start/end, previous/next cut, back/forward 5 seconds, frame-by-frame steps and loop.
  • Desktop shortcuts: J, K and L, Home and End, ↑ and ↓ for cuts, ← and → for single frames.
  • Timecode and frames: switch the clock and the timeline ruler between seconds, timecode (00:00:12:09) and frame numbers.
  • Vertical zoom: make the timeline's tracks taller or shorter — and zoom in far enough to see single frames.

All of it is explained in Edit faster: right-click menus, shortcuts and video track 2.

40+ new presets

  • 8 templates (14 in all): wedding film, recipe, workout, property tour, gaming montage, how-to tutorial, birthday and news.
  • 14 filters (22 in all), from Cinematic and Golden hour to Noir and Cyber.
  • 6 caption styles: white box, pop, neon glow, comic, minimal and elegant serif.
  • 7 motion presets: pan up and down, Ken Burns, punch in, pop in, spin in and slow push.
  • 6 export presets: YouTube 4K and 1080p, Shorts · Reels · TikTok, cinematic 24 fps, smooth 60 fps and a small file for WhatsApp. See export settings explained.
