How to reverse a video
- Add your video and trim it to just the part you want reversed — shorter clips reverse faster.
- Select the clip and open the Clip tab.
- Press ⇆ Play this clip backwards. A reversed copy replaces the clip, keeping its settings; the name gets "(reversed)" added.
- Build around it. Duplicate the original before reversing if you want forward-then-backward, then export.

Tip: reversed speech sounds strange, which is often the point — but for most reverse shots, turn the clip's volume down and let music carry it.

What resolution is the reversed clip?
Clips up to 1920 pixels on their long side keep their size. Larger clips, such as 4K, are reversed at 1920 pixels on the long side to keep memory use manageable.
How long does reversing take?
Usually a few seconds for a short clip. It depends on the clip's length, resolution and your device.
Can I undo it?
Yes — undo restores the original clip.
Does it work in every browser?
Reversing needs the browser's video decoding and encoding features (WebCodecs), which current versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari provide. If your browser can't do it, the editor tells you.
